It's been a while!

So it's been a couple of years since I've updated - yikes! I'm going to try and do a better job from here on out. There are so many little things that I have forgotten and I don't want to forget any more. So on to a funny from today...

Parker: Mommy, I remember what it was like in your belly.

Me: What was it like?

Parker: It was gross in there!

A couple I don't want to forget

I am terrible keeping this thing up, but there are a couple things that have happened lately that I don't want to forget.

First, at Christmas time the kids' school has a santa shop. I gave Dylan and Keilah money to buy everyone something from there for Christmas. The first day of the shop Dylan's class just looked. When he came home he told me all about what he was going to buy Keilah - one of those things you get at the zoo where the animal head is on top and at the bottom there is a lever to pull and it opens the animals mouth. Both the kids beg me to buy them one of these things everytime we're at the zoo and I won't. Well Christmas morning comes around the the kids open their presents from each other - Dylan gets Keilah the Flamingo zoo thing and Keilah gets Dylan...the T-Rex zoo thing. It was just so cute how they knew each other would love that toy.

Second, tonight Dylan was begging me to watch a movie before bed. It was already late so I told him no and that we could possible do it tomorrow. Next thing I know Dylan is crying that his toe hurts. He says "mom my toe hurts so bad because it's mad that you won't let it watch a movie." HA!

Such and funny girl

I'm so bad at updating this thing, but i'm going to try to do better.

Today I have a couple of Keilah funnies...

A couple of days ago we woke up to a lot of fog. Something we're really don't see too often around here. Keilah says, "mommy it's really FROGGY out today."

At Sunday school this week the kids were talking about the Ten Commandments. We got to Do Not Lie and one of the boys starts singing liar liar pants of fire. Keilah pipes in with "when your clothes catch on fire you stop drop and roll." Yes, they just had fire safety week last week in school. I am very happy to see she did learn something :)

Why I love this boy

Today Dylan asked me to take him to Toys R Us so he could spend his birthday money. Before we left he was telling me what he wanted to buy. He tells me "mommy I want to get a surprise for Keilah and Parker." Oh my, totally melt my heart. I took him and he picked out a toy plane for Parker and a Barbie for Keilah all before looking for something for himself. I almost cried it was so sweet.

Poor Squamper

Tonight the kids were not wanting to go to bed too well and were playing upstairs. After about 30 minutes of play Brodie went up to see what they were up to. He found them in Dylan's room with a wicker basket flipped upside down. Under the basket he saw flashing lights.

Brodie: What are you doing?

Keilah: We're trying to pet the cat.

Brodie: What do you mean? Is the cat under there?

Dylan and Keilah: Yes

Brodie: Let that cat go.

(Brodie now notices that the flashing lights he saw under the basket were the kids TOOTHBRUSHES)

Brodie: What are you doing with those?

Dylan: Daddy, we used them to lure him in.

We had had such a rough day with the kids today-major tantrums in the middle of Target, not listening etc. We REALLY needed this laugh to end our day.

Parker's ONE

Okay so he's not technically one for a few more hours yet, but close enough. I can't believe it's been a year since I had my sweet sweet baby. Parker is the most content baby i've ever known. He smiles constantly and is such a joy to us. Parker's waving hi and bye-bye now. His favorite word (really his only word besides mama and dada) is dog. Anything with 4 legs is a dog-it's SO cute. He's also trying to walk. He has great balance and I think he actual CAN walk, he just chooses not to. He's too laid back. Plus, who needs to walk when you have an older brother that will happily carry you. I thank God every day for Parker. He truly is a blessing.

Dylan Drawing People

When Dylan draws people he always gives them a belly button. He may forget the arms, but always makes sure there's a belly button. Just something that makes me chuckle. Here is Dylan's most recent drawing of me. Notice I have a belly button and eyebrows, but no nose or hair lol.
